2010 Changes to Wisconsin's OWI Law

Recent changes to Wisconsin's drunk driving laws may impact your sentence and the options available to you. The new law encourages rehabilitative treatment programs for defendants facing OWI/DUI charges. Misdemeanor offenders are now eligible for an alcohol drug treatment program in place of larger jail sentences and second and third DUI offenders are now eligible for probation. The new law also increases some penalties, particularly for individuals with third offense OWIs or greater. To learn more, please contact our law firm.
